What is a commissioned artwork?
A commission is an original artwork that painted directly onto watercolour paper.
What is a print?
A print is a copy of an Art and Music Co. original artwork. The artwork is scanned so that additional material can be added at any stage, such as a sheet music backing or a specific quote. The artwork is then printed on watercolour paper.
Where are the products made?
All artwork is personally created in Sydney, Australia.
What materials do you use?
- Printed or painted on 185GSM watercolour paper
- A4 size (210 x 297 mm)
- Acid-free (won't yellow over time)
- Paper is rot- and mildew-resistant
Both commissions and prints have a high-end finish that is ideal for framing or display purposes.
Are frames included?
All listings are for artwork without a frame. Any imagery that includes a frame is solely for display and styling purposes.
Do you take illustration commissions for businesses?

Can I share your artwork on social media?
Yes, please! Remember to tag #artandmusicco and add a credit to all posts and shares so other people can find this store. Examples of appropriate credit include:

- Illustration by Art and Music Co. [Facebook and Pinterest]
Please do not share the artwork in any way that implies it is your own creation. This includes any attempts to remove or crop out watermarks or signatures on artwork.
Can I copy the artwork?
You have permission to take photos of the artwork to be used for personal social media. However, all artwork purchased on this site is for personal home display, and cannot be reproduced in any other way. Copyright of the artwork remains with Art and Music Co. and does NOT transfer with purchase.
Are commissions and prints signed?
Yes, all of my commissions are signed. Prints are a scan of the original, which means my signature is also scanned.
How do I order?
Just go to the Shop on this website and click on the product you like. Then follow the easy checkout process.
If you wish to order a commission, you will need to supply the follow in the order notes*:
- Background. Please choose from:
- Music (please indicate if a particular music sheet and/or page is required)
- Words (please indicate if a specific lyric, quote or page from book is required, and if a specific font is to be used.)
- Colour preference
- Any other information you would like included
Once a commission order has been placed, you will receive a follow-up email confirming your request and clarifying any details, including whether you have a specific character pose or photo you would like to incorporate. You will receive a photo of your artwork once it has been drafted, and will have the opportunity to request ONE ROUND OF REVISIONS to the existing artwork before it is finalised.
*Order notes appear after you have finalised your cart and clicked “Proceed to Checkout”.
How do I make changes to my order?
Please ensure you review our policies in this FAQ section prior to ordering. For commissions, if you forget to mention something in your order notes, please email email@example.com within 24 hours. All attempts will be made to incorporate any changes until the painting is finalised and approved.
How long does it take to get my order?
For commissions, please allow 5 to 7 business days for completion. This timeline may be impacted if there is a delay in response to confirmation emails.
For any orders placed during the Christmas period (November/December) please allow an extra 5 business days.
For prints, please allow at least 2 business days for printing and packaging.
How do I cancel my order?
Due to the nature of commissions, cancellations cannot be accepted once the artwork has been commenced.
For prints, cancellations can only occur within 12 hours of your order. After that time, the artwork may already be in the pipeline for printing, processing and shipping.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line CANCEL ORDER and your details, within the 12-hour time frame.
Is it possible to fast-track my order?
If you need artwork with a quick turnaround time, please email email@example.com with the subject line FAST TRACK and your details, and all efforts will be made to accommodate your needs. This may incur an extra fee, which will be discussed upon confirmation of the time frame.
Do you do bulk orders?
If you are enquiring about commission orders for 10+ paintings, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line BULK ORDER and your details for a quote on bulk discount rates.
Where is my order?
Artwork is painted and/or printed in the order it is purchased. Paintings and prints are scheduled to ship (via your selected postage method) in 2 business days once the order has been finalised. Once they are shipped, it will depend on your location, the postage method you have purchased and Australia Post’s terms as to how long it takes for the package to arrive. Please refer to the Australia Post website for details and tracking.

How can I pay?
At the checkout, you can pay with Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. There is currently no option for Afterpay.
What currency is used for pricing?
All prices are shown in Australian dollars. If your order is completed outside of Australia, the Australian dollar rate will be converted to your currency once charged to your credit card or Paypal account.
Will there be any other import fees?
Import costs, customs charges, taxes and duties are government charges. If your order is completed within Australia, none of these fees apply. Outside of Australia, these fees can be nil, or can vary according to your country. It is best for you to get in touch with your local customs office to discuss details before you purchase. The price of the artwork does not include any of these charges, and Art and Music Co is not responsible for any of these costs.
